Hello Everyone,

West Side's bring a friend promotion has been overwelming.  Welcome to all the new visitors and thanks to the friends who have brought them.  Its always fun in February to see alot of new faces and the excitement of the gymnasts who bring a friend to class.

Some of the events we are planning for the next couple of months are a t-shirt meet for our class students.  Also we are planning on a fun clinic/camp day for our students.  Some of you may know I have coached the Syracuse University Women's Gymnastics Club Team for the last 12 years.  They have qualified to Nationals and they will host a Camp/Clinic at West Side In March.  This will be a 3 hour workout and will feature the team from Syracuse University coaching and teaching.  It will be an exciting 3 hours.  There will be a fee.  All money raised will go for traveling expenses for the team.  They will be traveling to Tennessee this year for Nationals.

Have a great month.

Thanks for checking the site out.

Posted on November 4, 2013 at 11:45 AM Comments comments (0)

Hello Everyone,

We want to welcome all of our new gymnasts and all of our returning families.  Also, all the visitors to our site.

West Side is a family run business.  West Side started in April of 1977.  Its been a continual pleasure to bring gymnastics tto the Syracuse area.  We are excited about whats coming up for the students at West Side.  December marks our 36th Christmas Recital.  All students are involved.  Its an event that out teachers and students look forward to with great anticipation.  Mark your calenders.  December 8th Sunday.

With the upcoming Holidays we are giving every students a second class free in December.  This is our present for each student.  This way you don't have to worry about any make-ups for the Holiday season.  And, you get a second class free for the whole month of December.  This present can only be used in December.  Merry Christmas.  We know that we are the only business that gives such a gift.  So enjoy it.  We appreciate your business and loyalty.

Weather related closings will be on channel 5 and 3 of the local TV channels and always on our answering machine for any day we close.  Keep  in mind, with our liberal make-up policy, if your worried about any given day, don't chance it.  Just make the missed day up.

Thanks for being part of West Side

Always remember,

West Side Is The Best Side.  One of our 3 year olds told my wife and I that about 10 years ago and it stuck in our heads and we use it alot.

Happy Holidays

Happy Birthday West Side 38 Years!

Hello everyone,

We will be celebrating our 38 year in business come April.  Our goal is to reach 50 years in business..

We will have a party and all of you are invited.

All past students and  present students.

We are proud of what we have accomplished.  We have done this with integrity and honesty.  So many times we have heard other coaches put down gyms in front of strangers just to make their gym look better.  We have never never done this.  Maybe thats why we are still in business and many of the other gyms have changed ownership many times over.

We feel there is a place for everone in this business.  No one is our competition.  We don't look at it that way.  What we offer is awesome and unique.   We know if people try our program they we see what 1000's before them have seen.  What they would see are teachers every class trying to make the gymnasts experience something to remember.

Thanks again for 38 years.  Thanks again for the many years to come.

Happy New Year!

Hello Everyone,

West Side wants to wish all of our friends a great happy New year.  We are excited about this year.  Our teams are progressing really nicely.  We are proud of all of them. Our claases are great.  We are seeing new students every day.

Remember, its time to get your children involved in gymnastics.  We need to keep them moving.  Child fitness should begin early.

Gymnastics is a great beginning sport.  It helps children focus on body awareness, flexibility, strength, learning to follow directions, and finally challenges them to think.  And, its alot of fun.

West Side is thankful for alot of things-

1.  We have been doing what we love for 35 years.

2. Joan Runge, our secretary for 35 years .  Retiring this year.  Thank you for everything. We love you.  We will miss your leadership and expertise.

3.  All of our teachers, many of whom have been with us since the beginning.

4.  All of our parents, students, team members, and alumni who have supported us over the years.

5.  A special thanks to Abe Gabriel.  He has been West Sides right hand man for 35 years.  We owe him more than we can say.

  Thank You, Thank you,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you

To all of You.

Hello Everyone,

I hope everyone has finished shopping.  The malls in the morning are empty.  Thats the time to shop.

Hey we will be playng volleyball next Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30-9:00am.  Come join us for some fun and exercise.

Remember when thinking about signing your child up for gymnastics, a few things are very important.

1.  This is a fun and enjoyable sport.  Each class the student should be experiencing enjoyment.

2  The teacher should be full of energy.  Very positive, and above all, very attentive to each childs skill level.

3.  Happiness come from fullfillment.  The students need to learn and improve on the basics of gymnastics each class.

At West Side we go out of our way to make each student feel very important.  The kids are what its all about.  We don't let kids get lost in the suffle.  We keep our class ratio 5 or 6 to each teacher.  Bring on the fun.

Have a great Holiday Season,
